March 2 / Tell Me A Story
Step into the world of the Ancient Americas! View the pottery collection in Aztec to Zapotec: Selections from the Ancient Americas Collection. Then, tell your own story on a clay vessel that you create. Coil, pinch, roll, tear, slice, smooth and embellish with the earth just like artists of ancient times!

March 16 / Print pARTY
What better way to learn about printmaking than to have a Print Party! Be inspired by prints in the galleries and return to the studio to see what you can create!

March 23 / A Line Can Take You Anywhere You Want to Go
Tell your story with drawing materials. Explore different pencils, blending stubs, a variety of papers and just about anything you could ever need to make a line on paper and turn it into a work of art.

April 6 / Build Your Own Museum
After investigating architecture, use the Elements of Art to build your own museum. Add mini paintings, drawings, pastels, prints, and sculpture!

April 13 / Just Drawing
Use a sketchbook to explore the galleries with magnifying glasses, color swatches, line cards and more for drawing what you see in the galleries. Learn new drawing techniques and work with an array of important drawing tools.

April 20 / Clay Play
Explore the OMA galleries this week. The West Africa and Ancient Americas trunks will be set up in the classroom. We will dig for shards of “ancient” artifacts. Then create your own artifact!

April 27 / This is ME!
Look in the mirror and paint a self-portrait! Look for traces of faces in the galleries to inspire your colors and brushstrokes.
