Towers, Ceilings and Chandeliers

Become a “Chihuligan” as you spend the week learning about the blown glass sculpture of Dale Chihuly and other artists who work in glass. Design your own tower, chandelier and other “glass” works of art. Then make individual pieces that, combined with others, create a Chihuly ceiling!

Mix It Up!

Learn to combine more than one medium to make works of art with punch! Explore drawing, painting and collage techniques

Painting Pros

From color washes to dry-brush work, explore painting techniques using water-based media such as tempera, acrylic and watercolor. Learn the basics that will make you a painting pro!

Graffiti Art
Materials fee: $10

Discover artists such as Jean-Michael Basquiat, Keith Haring and Crash (John Matos), who helped make graffiti a recognized art form. Learn the basics of painting styles and color theory to create art in the style of graffiti with all of the beauty, none of the harm.

Plaster Sculpture
