Winter Art Camp - Package December 27-30
December 27: Self Portraits in Collage and Papier Maché Animals
In the morning, use inspiration from Rembrandt Peale’s Portrait of Three Children to capture your personality in collage. In the afternoon, learn papier maché techniques to create an animal sculpture.
December 28: African Clay Masks and Crazy Bird Soft Sculptures
Fashion an African-inspired mask using clay hand-building techniques and then create a soft sculpture bird.
December 29: Florida Scenes and Family Portraits
Learn a variety of painting techniques today! Follow the lead of American artist Herman Hertzog to capture the colors of a Florida morning, and later create a family portrait.
December 30: Recycled Box Houses and Mixed Animal Creations
Using boxes, paint and other materials, create a three-dimensional “house” sculpture in the morning. In the afternoon, explore paper techniques to create a new animal that symbolizes something important to you!
Times:Full-day classes are from 9am-4pm. Bring a lunch, a drink and a towel for a picnic. Please wear closed toe shoes and dress for mess!
Cost: Enjoy any four days at a bargain rate! $170; $150 for Members
Extended Day: Early drop off (beginning at 8:00am): $5 per child, per day, Late pick up (until 5:15pm): $5 per child, per day
Refunds:Refunds are given less a $25 handling fee. Written notice two weeks prior to the class is required. No refunds are made after the class has started.
