Development Director
The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) is seeking a Development Director who will be responsible for development of the OMA’s financial support, including memberships, grants, donor relations, capital programs and the planning and supervision of special fund-raising events. Reports to the Executive Director and supervises the following staff: Annual Campaigns and Membership Coordinator, Grants Manager and Events Manager.
Academic and Business Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in art history or a related field and at least ten years of recent direct fundraising experience required, preferably in an art museum. Proven experience supervising and managing development staff and volunteers to achieve fundraising goals.
Specific Skills and Abilities:
Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Has excellent computer skills and is adept at fundraising via social media. Must have experience with Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Office Suite. Proven ability to solicit gifts in the $5,000-$250,000 range. Able to work cooperatively and effectively with donors, volunteers and staff. Comfortable working in a highly collaborative team environment. Responds well to various situations with tact and poise.
